I like Salix serpyllum Andersson because it is accepted, described, and keyable in Flora of China and Flora of Bhutan, and is also an accepted species in World Flora Online. Salix fruticulosa Andersson is listed as a synonym in Flora of Bhutan and Kew POWO, but World Flora Online lists it as ambiguous. I wouldn't have an objection to iNaturalist using Salix fruticulosa Andersson, even though I wouldn't use it for my own records. If we have a Salicaceae expert, I would follow their lead!
@sonnekke do you have an opinion on this one?
Salix fruticulosa Andersson is the accepted name. Please cfr. http://172.104.19.75/translations/Skv1966IndHim.html. I think we should try to stick to this. I checked with dr. Irina Belyaeva, and she agrees.

Hi @elizabeth_byers, any objection to merging this to match POWO?
