Should this be merged into Athyrium felix-femina or split?

True Athyrium filix-femina (var. filix-femina) is found in Europe, but apparently the North American varieties were split out by some to their own species, like A. angustum (which was A. filix-femina var. angustum), A. asplenoides (which was A. filix-femina var. asplenoides).

GoBotany calls their regional species A. angustum (splitting it), but Calflora calls their regional species A. felix-femina var. cyclosorum (lumping it). Since The Plant list accepts one of the split species (A. asplenoides), but not all of them (A. angustum), I'm not sure what should be done here either. Confusing!
