Still waiting on distribution data to see if this needs to be split. Reprile database lists
Boiga dendrophila: Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, W Malaysia, Singapore; Thailand; Vietnam, Philippines
Boiga melanota: Thailand, West Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia
is that correct? that implies they overlap?
To be fair I have no idea of that location information's accuracy. My guess is they just inherited it from which of D. dendrophila.
OK committed https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/99042 my understanding from reading WEINELL et al 2020 is that Penninsular malaysia up into Thailand and Cambodia is melanota and the rest is dendrophila
