I won't get chance to read this in detail for a while.
At first glance I don't see it adds anything to what was known 9 years ago and I summarised in some notes ...

Now that two years have passed, I think it's time to solve this flag. Even though the nomenclatural issue still lingers, I would hope we can choose a name to stick with until new developments in this field. I propose to keep Cyclocybe cylindracea as the description perfectly fits the current concept of Cyclocybe cylindracea/aegerita and it has priority.
Recent work seems to indicate that there is only one European clade of these (https://doi.org/10.1007/s11557-020-01599-z), but they did explicitly did not propose a synonymy because they did not do any detailed type work. I note the British Basidio checklist says they are the same, though (http://www.basidiochecklist.info/DisplayResults.asp?intGBNum=3389). Any guidance from other sources? @cooperj
