You are right. It is exactly the same case. And it is discussed and rectified in exactly the same publication.
The Scaphidema species on iNat at the moment are a merry mix of genders.
Holarctic genus -- will you fix it, or would you like me to do it?

Genus Platydema was treated neuter in most relevant sources,
but considered feminine in https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5799738/
(and there discussed, why).
This may apply to Scaphidema as well.
