Coelioxys is now considered masculine. Thus the names of many (not all) species with -a endings now end in -us. This is now Coelioxys (Synocoelioxys) texanus Cresson, 1872 |

I fixed the name of this species using a taxon swap. There are many other Coelioxys species so it's difficult to tell which need to change. What subgenus or subgenera are expected to have species that need to change? I compared names of Boreocoelioxys species to names in ITIS and that subgenus seems correct already.
