@neoarctia Do you know if there are any published groupings of Apantesis species that survived the synonymies from Ronka et al. 2016's phylogenetic study? Any subgenera, species groups, or species complexes?
And do you know if the 4 species listed above are likely to form a monophyletic clade?

Is it possible to create a subpage dealing with the genus Apantesis which contains a suite of similar species VERY common and often misdiagnosed by photograph - ex. Apantesis carlotta-nais-phalerata-vittata as a complex? A similar strategy is employed at BugGuide.
