it is not a swap. It is just renaming (as per iNat convention - stabilized after this was posted) Complex Antiopella capensis-longidentatus to Complex Antiopella capensis

Not that I am aware of. Complexes on iNaturalist are more to cope with visually identical sister species, than any formal taxonomy. The situation is mentioned in some field guides.
Complexes are still sourced to literature. If someone could name a field guide this is mentioned in that would be great.

Why did you swap? You could have just changed the name. it is a simple edit.
Only the user who created a taxon can make edits like that.
