Prunus humilis (Bge.) Sok. and Prunus prostrata Labill. are not the same species. Prunus humilis is native to northern China and Prunus prostrata is is native to around The Mediterranean Sea.

I removed Prunus humilis as a synonym of Prunus prostrata

It looks like they were synonymized on iNat in 2020 https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/69161
but I suspect POWO has since updated and we're now lagging behind

I started drafting a split https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/114774
@jane_charlen whats the status of central asian (e.g. Kazakhstan) observations? Would they be humilis or prostrata?

They should be P. prostrata concolor. The leaves and fruits are far smaller than P. humilis.
