Odonata Checklist appears to have redirected to Odonata Central https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/curator+guide#authorities Should the Curator Guide be updated? @loarie @tiwane?

As far as I understand, these lists duplicate each other.

the two lists are meant to be in sync - @dennispaulson and @jcabbott can explain more

I'm not what this is about to be honest, but as far as the two lists go. Dennis and I (and a team of others) are in regular contact and do our best to keep the two lists identical. The reality is because they are managed by two different folks though, I'm sure they will drift apart at times. Most of the time, these differences are likely to be very minor though. Not sure if this helps or not.

In this case the two lists are not in sync. The species Anax julius is shown as a valid species in Odonata Central https://www.odonatacentral.org/app/#/wol/, but is still a synonym of Anax parthenope in the xls list also found at Slater Museum.

These lists really lack synchronization. On the other hand, the opinions of experts may vary greatly in some cases. Accept "this or that change" or not. And this is generally normal. On the other hand, with regard to this particular taxon, I hope we were convincing.

The two lists are usually in synch, but the University of Puget Sound is redoing their website, and I can't make any changes in the Slater Museum list until that has been done. Soon, I hope.
