It's back as Pseudognaphalium luteoalbum HTTP://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:909623-1#synonyms
another recent source using Pseudognaphalium for this species is Smissen et al. 2022, although they note that this might change again (in their reasoning for transferring Gnaphalium lanatum [which POWO still lists as a synonym of Euchiton involucratus] to Pseudognaphalium; see this related flag) -
Although it is possible that we will ultimately treat both P. luteoalbum and Gnaphalium lanatum under Helichrysum (see Galbany-Casals et al. 2004; Galbany-Cassals 2019) or Laphangium (as in Greuter 2003), many species of Pseudognaphalium lack names in Helichrysum or Laphangium (these include the Hawaiian Islands’ P. sandwicensium) and Pseudognaphalium is still widely accepted (e.g. Galbany-Casals et al. 2014; Freire et al. 2018). Therefore, below we transfer Gnaphalium lanatum to Pseudognaphalium so that the presence of at least two taxa in New Zealand, one indigenous and one naturalised, can be recognised.
I think we should commit the swap. Although perhaps in the future the genera Pseudognaphalium and Achyrocline will be synonymized with Helichrysum, much work is still needed as there is still no phylogeny that includes enough species of both genera to support such changes, it is better for INaturalist to keep this species for now. in Pseudognaphalium.
