Algaebase/WoRMS does not accept either infraspecific and there is only one observation of them. Am I ok to swap the infraspecifics back into the species or do we need a taxon framework deviation? @bclarkston @isaak1

Ah, perfect, that is what I needed to know! Sorry if it was unclear, what I did now was I created the species Polysiphonia villum and swapped the unaccepted name Polysiphonia scopulorum var. villum with the accepted name Polysiphonia villum. By 'deviation' I meant if there is a reason to keep the name Polysiphonia scopulorum var. villum instead of the accepted name Polysiphonia villum.
