Thanks! I made a deviation for now https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_framework_relationships/30568 until we get a sense of ranges. If someone could draw lines on the map below showing D fuscus sensu IUCN and label each of:
Desmognathus conanti
Desmognathus fuscus
Desmognathus anicetus
Desmognathus bairdi
Desmognathus campi
Desmognathus catahoula
Desmognathus cheaha
Desmognathus lycos
Desmognathus tilleyi
That would be a huge help
@loarie, I do not see how to upload a figure here
you can't upload a images directly, but if you post them somewhere you can embed them here. I uploaded that one above to Flickr and then linked to it here using an image tag, e.g.
https://flic.kr/p/2oVv91c for anicetus and tilleyi.
https://flic.kr/p/2oVwGLQ for monticola and cheaha. Cheaha is yellow (monticola A/C in the legend)
I added the ranges here https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/132563
can someone help with the atlases so we can commit?
Please add/adjust atlases to https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/138980 and https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/138981
let me know when these are ready to go and I'll commit
I spent some time on the atlases and committed - thanks so much @lwnrngr
New taxonomy splits fuscus and conanti into a total of 8 species
New maps would be useful for drawing the pink distribution maps as well
