of an incomplete genus transfer |

Zygogramma, in modern understanding restricted on some SOUTH American taxa.
Action needed is:
A) Rooting of Zygospila as subgenus of Calligrapha;
B) Replacement of any Zygospila combination with a Calligrapha one;
C) before this, any "Zygogramma" from North America should be ID-labeled "Zygospila", to prevent mixup.
Implicitly, the step was proposed by Gómez-Zurita (2015), well founded.

Hi @borisb ,
Shawn Clark has submitted a manuscript to Coleopterists Bulletin dealing with these names.
@humedouglas I would be very interested to see that paper of Shawn's when available!
Zygogramma guttulosa and Zygogramma championi were transferred to the genus Calligrapha on iNat in June, 2022, but are still placed in the Zygogramma subgenus Zygospila on iNaturalist.
This results in both species being listed with a genus name in their binomial that does not match their (stated) parent genus. It is suggested that these two species be removed from the subgenus Zygospila and placed directly under the genus Calligrapha.
