How on earth it could be RG with just one species level ID? :/ |

working as intended |
@schoenitz Thanks. However, it seems to be bizarre, since it is counted at the species page as RG (for the species, not for the community taxon, which would be okay). Is it really as intended?
@schoenitz I have removed my ID for a while. So now it looks as it was, and you can take a look.
I think it's not a bug per se, but rather an unexpected behavior. The reason is that there are votes for "No, it's as good as it can be" at the bottom of DQA. These votes were placed when the community taxon was a subfamily, and that was reasonable. After a more fine ID appeared, these votes were automatically transferred to the extent that the species level ID was counted as RG with just one IDer. It seems that I have seen such things before. I cannot believe this behavior is intended.
Alright, thanks for taking your ID off for the time being. I could only speculate about why it shows this counterintuitive behavior, so I made a forum topic: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/unexpected-situation-with-community-id-rg-dqa/46594. Maybe somebody else has seen something like this before.
@schoenitz Thanks!
IDers who vote in the DQA should make sure to watch out for situations like this, and IDers who add IDs to such observations should counteract existing votes. But obviously not everyone is that careful. It would be nice to have some sort of feature request like this one:
https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/reset-can-the-community-taxon-still-be-confirmed-or-improved-after-taxon-swap/9266
And you can always @mention those who have voted and ask them to reconsider their vote.
@thomaseverest Exactly. These votes should be automatically reset after any change in CID or OID.
@kharkovbut I would vote for that feature request.
I suppose you can add your disagreeing ID back in @kharkovbut -- it doesn't look like there's a resolution to this for now.
@kharkovbut look at the community taxon - it's RG for the subfamily, not the species
