iNaturalist references the Reptile-database (RD) for reptile taxonomy, Tropidurus madeiramamore has not yet been accepted there yet. Please submit the paper to them for consideration via the contact page or email info@reptile-database.org
The species is now listed at The Reptile Database (https://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Tropidurus&species=madeiramamore&search_param=%28%28search%3D%27Tropidurus%27%29%29) and can be added to iNaturalist, but a taxon curator needs to do it. @loarie
The article link above appears to be paywalled. The full paper is available on ResearchGate
Tropidurus madeiramamore added by RD sync/import
Requires split from T. oreadicus
Draft taxon change: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/142558
Ranges and atlases updated, taxon change ready to be committed, however I cannot work out why this obs for Tropidurus oreadicus in the middle of Tocantins state is falling 'Outside of all atlases'
@loarie
awesome thanks I committed - I'm not sure but you can mop up here
