From files i'm not sure if you swapped this species directly, or indirectly with "Move children to output" when you merged Metioche. If the latter, then just to make sure you're aware that unfortunately such children (i.e. species names in this case) will transfer exactly same suffix- there's no care by system about such cases of adjectives and participles for the select species names which may need to change for gender agreement with the alternative genus.
@sjl197 I am already aware of this issue, and I'm taking care of it. It was easier to automatically generate 30 swaps and fix 6 or so species that had wrong gender suffixes rather than manually swapping every single taxa.
@birdwhisperer - ok, exactly - just a different order of doing things than i do then - the alternative way i started do it is to create the new higher rank (even if same name), then move the few where the suffixes change, then automatically swap the rest. Either way, still have to do an individual step on all the ones where the suffix changes. :( I just prefer this way as it doesn't initially create a 'false combination' where there is gender mismatch between the new genus and species.
Anyway, perhaps more importantly, it looks like OSF are perhaps making some errors with the gender formation of several of the listed taxa.
Edit: i just removed some additional text here, and put it into a report issue to them direct - available here
