despite being mostly pertinent, helpful, and on-topic, also contains jabs at the appeal process, staff, etc

not an insult

I don't see how this violates any rules, criticizing how things are run on the site is not an insult

@astra_the_dragon As a curator and mod, you should clearly see that my comment doesn't violate the guidelines. The reference to the appeal process was also related to the post (not unrelated, nor a "jab"), since I was blamed and punished for what is now being called a new DQA feature; secondly, what I was blamed and punished for at that prior time turned out to not actually even have been against the guidelines. I doubt the staff themselves would even flag this, but one can never be too sure given past behavior.

Also, your use of term "jab" misleadingly makes it sound like my non-violating comments were inappropriate. Note also that there is no appeal process that you referred to me as critiquing - rightfully critiquing because there isn't one but should be one. Can a curator please resolve this flag as: not inappropriate or not a violation?

@astra_the_dragon flagged me, "getting offended for someone else," loarie. But note that loarie publicly commented to me on that same post after my flagged comment and didn't indicate any disagreement with me, which would indicate he didn't consider my flagged comment flaggable. So far, that means two curators think my comment didn't violate guidelines, so I'd appreciate if someone would resolve the flag saying exactly that (and not using a blank, ambiguous, or "see comment" resolution). Invalidly flagging users is what really wastes the time of everyone and creates unnecessary conflict or stress. A curator and mod of years should know by now when a comment didn't violate guidelines. And ironically, it was due to similar inaccurate flagging of my comments (but not by you) a year ago that led me to lose my curator status. I am rightfully a curator, and would know for example unlike you that my comment that was flagged today didn't violate guidelines.

@arman_ I feel like this should be resolved, but hesitant to unilaterally close flag by curator

"What about all the "jabs" I'm accused of though?"

Posted by bdagley 2 months ago

I don't see content that needs a flag in that comment.

Second last sentence in loarie's post - please share any feedback or thoughts you may have on the topic of data quality
