Blacknecked Gartersnakes are one of the most attractive snakes in Bexar County. They occur in the western and northwestern parts of the county in the canyons of the Hill Country. They are pretty common along creeks and hillsides in the rocky parts of western Bexar County where they feed on frogs and toads.
