Eastern Patch-nosed Snake

Salvadora grahamiae

Bexar County Habits 2

Eastern Patch-nosed Snakes are quite common in southern and western Bexar County. They are commonly found within the city itself and seem to adapt reasonable well to suburban area. They are diurnal snakes but are very quick to disappear if approached or disturbed.
