Searsia lancea commonly known as karee, "karree" (Afrikaans), "hlokoshiyne" (isiZulu), "umhlakotshane" (amaXhosa), or "mokalaabata" (Northern Sotho), is an evergreen, frost hardy, drought resistant tree, which can reach up to 8 metres in height with a 5 metre spread.
