Flower: White rounded cluster
Leaves: whorled in groups of 6, 1/3 to ¾ inch long, up to ¼ inch wide, elliptical in shape, abrupt sharp point at tip, tiny downward pointing hairs around edges and along midvein on underside
Fruit/Seed: pair of smooth round capsules, each less than 1/16 inch across, containing single seed
Height: 2-6 feet
Flowering: June - September
Habitat: bogs, marshes, wet meadows, moist woods, thickets
