• Leaf/Branch Arrangement: Alternate
• Flower: White/green elongated cluster
• Leaves: spade shaped, serrated, base asymmetrical, 2-5 inches long, 3 inches wide
• Bark: deeply furrowed with corky ridges
• Fruit/Seed: round berry, ¼-1/2 inch diameter, green-maroon
• Height: 40-60 feet
• Flowering: April - May
• Habitat: hardwood forest, floodplains, river banks
