Found throughout the American tropics and subtropics, from Mexico to Patagonia
Can be found at coasts and on inland waters
Feed on small fishes and amphibians
Neotropic cormorants are monogamous and breed in colonies
They perch in trees, which often dries out due to the acidity of their defecation
