All rana frogs are difficult to discern among each other species and you need some practice and experience to be sure to identify them properly as increment deifferences in coloration and bulbs on hind legs make all the difference. That would require you to catch them and examine them up close, which is ilegal in czech republic. Thus I discourage from identifying adult frogs.
Rather their egg clutches are far easier to discern as Rana arvalis's are blobs attached on top ofvegetation in early spring and stick well together.
Ecology and Behaviour 2
The moor frog starts its activity in late winter or early spring, but it's common to find them when there's still snow. They migrate to water bodies where they lay their eggs and then they go back into the woods.
Identifikace (CZ) 2
Skokani ostronosí jsou rozeznatelní především podle břišní strany těla, tvaru hlavy a patního výrústku na zadních nohou. Samci často v našich podmínkách také nabývají modré barvy. Rozeznávání našich druhů hnědých skokanů je však obtížné a i zkušení odborníci občas u některých jedinců tápou. Naopak velmi dobře se rozeznávají jejich snůšky, kdy skokani ostronosí začínají klást na přelomu zimy a jara snůšky volně připevněné k vodní vegetaci. Tyto snůšky však připomínají spíše snůšky skokanů hnědých ale na rozdíl od nich drží dobře pohromadě.
