Anthocharis cardamines, the orange tip, is a butterfly in the family Pieridae.
On the wing in April and May. Males have distinctive orange wing tips, females are white with grey/black wing tip markings. Both sexes have mottled underwings. Caterpillars feed on Lady Smock or Garlic Mustard .
Common at several sites in and around Buxton and may be seen in gardens.
