Occurrence 4

Statewide. This species occurs throughout the eastern U.S. except for the most northern areas. Froeschner (1954) stated that it was almost as common S. furcata.

Habitat 4

Prairies, meadows, wetland margins. According to Blatchley (1920), less arboreal than other Scudderia and more likely to be found in lower vegetation like grass.
