Identification ³

Among Tree Crickets, this species is easily identified by the raspberry red antenna bases. The largest Tree Cricket with the loudest song.

This species occurs in most of Iowa according to SINA, but has rarely been reported.

Habitat ³

Occurs in vegetation and shrubbery at lower levels, not high in the trees.
