Occurrence 4

Knutson and Jaques (1935) and Knutson (1937) did not list this species for Iowa. It has now been documented in southeast Iowa by citizen scientists. iNaturalist and BugGuide each have one record each from Heron Bend Conservation Area in Lee County. Jim Durbin's Insects of Iowa website has records from three counties (Jefferson, Van Buren, and Johnson) in southeast Iowa, reaching nearly to east central Iowa. The first record of this species in Iowa appears to be a 2011 record from the Insects of Iowa website.

Habitat 4

Grasses and sedges of wet meadows or wetlands.
