Introduced from western United States. Found in large colonies called towns, usually containing hundreds of prairie dogs. Note relatively large size, uniform tan color with black-tipped tail, and larger build.

Range 3

In and around the town of Neshkoro (in Marquette County).

Habitat 3

Heavily-grazed open grassy areas (such as pastures) on sandy soil.

Size 3

9-12", tail 3-4".
