Griseus vel griseo-ferrugineus, remote nigro-punctatus; macula oblonga basali verticis maculaque angulorum basalium scutelli lævigatis; tegminibus ad margi- nem costalem et apicem versus parce nigro-conspersis; alis obscure fuscis; abdomine nigro, ventris maculis lateralibus ferrugineo-griseis; pedibus nigro-maculatis; capite thorace. scutelloque ad unum plus dimidio longiore, apice distincte nonnihil compresso. . . Gray or rust-gray, remotely black-dotted; an oblong spot on the basal vertex and a spot on the basal angles of the scutellum smoothed; coverts on the costal margin and apex towards the side sparingly sprinkled with black; wings dark brown; the abdomen is black, the lateral spots of the belly are rusty-gray; black-spotted feet; with his head in his chest. scutellum about one and a half times longer, the apex distinctly somewhat compressed. . .
