Das Königliche Museum für Naturkunde zu Berlin erhielt ein Exemplar dieser nicht eben auffälligen Art von Sierra Leona durch die Firma Dr. O. Staudinger & Bang Haas.
Die Stirn bildet bei vorliegender Art an der Basis mit dem Scheitel einen stumpfen Winkel, zeigt daselbst auf der Mitte einen kurzen sich alsbald gabelnden und auf der Fläche verlierenden Längskiel und jederseits am obern Rande zwei flache grubenartige Vertiefungen; der untere grössere und etwas zurücktretende Theil der Stirn ist etwas ausgehöhlt, zeigt auf der Mitte drei flache Längs- eindrücke hart neben einander, deren mittlerer bis zur Spitze geht, und hat fast bis zur Mitte parallele Seitenränder, erweitert sich als- dann mit gerundeten und etwas nach vorn vortretenden Seitenlappen und nimmt, an der Spitze breit ausgeschnitten, den mit scharfen ge- rundeten Seitenrändern versehenen breiten, jederseits der Länge nach grubig vertieften und längs der gewölbten Mitte deutlich gekielten Klypeus auf. Der Hinterleibsrücken ist vom zweiten Segmente an längs der Mitte deutlich gekielt.

The Royal Museum of Natural History in Berlin received a specimen of this not very conspicuous species from Sierra Leona through the company Dr. O. Staudinger & Bang Haas.
In the present species, the forehead forms an obtuse angle at the base with the apex, showing a short longitudinal keel in the middle that soon forks and loses its surface, and on each side at the upper edge two shallow pit-like depressions; the lower, larger and somewhat receding part of the forehead is somewhat hollowed out, shows in the middle three flat longitudinal impressions close together, the middle one going to the point, and has parallel side edges almost to the middle, then widens with rounded and slightly forward protruding lateral lobe and, broadly cut out at the tip, accommodates the wide klypeus, which is provided with sharp, rounded lateral edges, is pitted and deepened lengthwise on each side and is clearly keeled along the arched middle. The back of the abdomen is clearly keeled from the second segment down the middle.
