Patria: Victoria (Camerun),
Buchholz. Von der Grüsse der Hol. pudica, aber mit etwas ge- streckteren Flügeln. Scheitel wie bei Hol. Preussi geformt, aber mit wenig ausgeprägter Basalschwiele; Stirn etwas un- eben, dicht und fein längs ciselirt, mit schwielig verdicktem und glattem Oberrand. Clypeus glatt und glänzend, an der Basis mit vertiefter Mittellinie: Rostrum bis zur Basis der Hinterschenkel reichend. Pronotum mit Ausnahme des quer abgestutzten Mittellappens grob, fast grubig punktirt, beider- seits von dem scharfen Mittelkiel eingedrückt, leicht glänzend; Mesonotum wie bei Hol. pudica skulpirt. Kopf und Thorax mit Einschluss der Beine licht blutroth, die Spitze der fünf Hinterschienen-Dornen jedoch gleich dem Metanotum schwärz- lich pechbraun. Deckflügel gegen das Ende hin leicht er- weitert und hier mehr stumpf gerundet als abgestutzt, im Bereich ihrer Basalhälfte etwa gleich dicht, aber etwas derber als bei Hol. pudica netzartig geadert, oberhalb scherbengelb, aber durch das hell blutrothe Adernetz mehr ziegelfarbig er- scheinend, fleckenweise erdbraun marmorirt. Diese braunen Flecke auf der Basalhälfte dichter zusammengedrängt, im Costalraum zu fünf schärfer gegen einander abgegrenzt, jen- seits der Mitte fast fehlend und die helle Grundfarbe in Form einer Querbinde frei hervortreten lassend; diese das rostbraune Enddrittheil deutlich abgrenzend. Letzteres erscheint unter- halb matt blutroth, während die basalen zwei Drittheile hier blass knochengelb und nur fein schwärzlich bespritzt er- scheinen. Hinterflügel mit gelblich weissem Spiegel, sonst in gleichem Umfang wie bei Hol. pudica rauchschwarz.

Homeland: Victoria (Cameroon),
buchholz. From the greetings of the Hol. pudica, but with somewhat more stretched wings. Apex as in Hol. Preussi shaped, but with little pronounced basal callus; Forehead somewhat uneven, densely and finely chiseled lengthwise, with calloused, thickened and smooth upper edge. Clypeus smooth and shiny, with a recessed median line at base: rostrum reaching base of hind femora. Pronotum, with the exception of the transversely truncated middle lobe, roughly punctured, almost pitted, indented on both sides by the sharp middle keel, slightly shiny; Mesonotum as in Hol. pudica sculpts. The head and thorax including the legs are light blood-red, but the tips of the five hind tibia spines are blackish pitch brown like the metanotum. Elytra slightly widened towards the end and here more bluntly rounded than truncated, about as dense in the area of their basal half, but somewhat more coarsely than in Hol. pudica veined like a net, shard yellow above, but appears more brick-colored due to the bright blood-red vein net, marbled in spots with earth brown. These brown spots are more densely crowded on the basal half, five more sharply defined in the costal space, almost absent beyond the middle and allowing the light ground color to stand out freely in the form of a transverse band; these clearly demarcating the rusty brown end third. The latter appears dull blood-red below, while the basal two-thirds appear pale bone-yellow and only finely spattered with black. Hind wings with yellowish-white tips, otherwise the same extent as in Hol. pudica smoky black.
