Im Anschluss an die von mir früher in dieser Zeitschrift*) publizierten Abbildungen und Be- schreibungen ostafrikanischer Rhynchoten gebe ich hiemit eine Figur von einer Malfeytia, die neu sein dürfte; Herr Edm. Schmidt, dem ich dies Bild zur Begutachtung sandte, erklärte, die Art sei ihm unbekannt und dieselbe Antwort bekam ich von Herrn Prof. Dr. A. Jacobi, dem ich es ebenfalls zugesandt hatte; später teilte mir Herr Prof. Jacobi freundlichst mit,

er habe die Art unter Vorräten ostafrikanischer Fulgoriden, die er aus dem Berliner Museum zur Bearbeitung hat, wiedergefunden und mit Sicher- heit als neue Art erkannt; hier im Museum war das Exemplar, das als Vorlage für diese Figur gedient hatte, nämlich z. Zt. nicht zu finden und die genaue Lokalität daher auch unbekannt. Ueber die Art, die ich Malfeytia Jacobii m. nenne, wird voraussichtlich Herr Prof. Jacobi demnächst Näheres mitteilen. Das Cliché auch zu dieser Abbildung verdanke ich Herrn Prof. Dr. F. Karsch.

In connection with the illustrations and descriptions of East African Rhynchotes published by me earlier in this journal*), I hereby give a figure of a Malfeytia, which may be new; Mr. Edm. Schmidt, to whom I sent this picture for assessment, explained that the species was unknown to him and I received the same answer from Prof. Dr. A. Jacobi, to whom I also sent it; Later, Prof. Jacobi kindly informed me that

he had rediscovered the species among stocks of East African Fulgorids that he had from the Berlin museum for processing and definitely recognized it as a new species; here in the museum was the specimen that served as a model for this figure, namely z. Cannot be found at the moment and the exact location is therefore also unknown. About the species, which I call Malfeytia Jacobii m., Prof. Jacobi will probably give more details soon. I owe the cliché for this illustration to Prof. Dr. F Karsch.
