A deciduous tree that grows 30 to 80 feet high. The leaves are usually 14 inches long with 5 to 7 leaflets. The winged seeds are 1 to 2 inches long and hang in clusters. Oregon Ash grows in the interior valleys of the Pacific Coast and along stream banks. The wood is used for tools and furniture. The seeds are eaten by many bird and mammal species.
