Momo

Black-and-white with no chin-spot

Description 6

Momo is a generally approachable black-and-white cat with a large black spot on the left shoulder and no black spot on the chin. In Spring 2024, they have been spotted at Boggs, Howey, Bunger-Henry, the Community Garden, the Divine Nine Plaza, and Dunkin’. The cropped ear suggests that they have been TNR’d. Although generally friendly, do keep in mind that Momo is a feral cat and has scratched several people. Avoid head pats and do not chase.

Behavior 7

Momo is generally considered to be the most approachable of all of the cats at Georgia Tech. They are open to back massages, but one should be careful to avoid neck or head rubs if Momo is not acclimated to their presence. Momo is quite nomadic and frequently wanders around campus leading to information about their contemporary location being considered valuable by members of Georgia Tech Cats. Despite their friendliness, Momo maintains a surprising degree of independence and has been observed preying on sparrows, chipmunks, and lizards around campus if they remain unfed for a significant period. Momo has been observed with both Mimi and Void.

Adoption Plan 7

Many students have expressed concern over the rather unlikely possibility of Momo being adopted. Various members of Georgia Tech Cats have speculated that they would likely not acclimate to domestic life well due to their preference for independence. They are also very likely positive for FIV due to their contact with Mimi and by extension Gracie.

Theories 7

Relationship with Void and Mimi:
Momo is speculated to be the sibling of Void and Mimi. Evidence for this theory comes from the fact that all three have similar body and nose shapes as well as the fact that all three are known to associate with one another. In the case of Momo and Mimi, they have nearly identical coats of fur.
