Daisy ("Two-Face”)

Dilute calico that hides in the storm drains

Description 3

Daisy is a skittish dilute calico that hides in the storm drains around Tech Tower and visits the Tech Tower feeding station. She is quite large and though many have speculated at various times that she may be pregnant, no confirmation has ever been made so it is unlikely. The alternate name “Two-Face” refers to her split facial coloration, with the left half being slaty gray and the right being ginger. Has been present for 8-9 years as of 2024.

Behavior 4

Daisy is very skittish and is not approachable. She has been observed hiding under a storm drain near Tech Tower by countless students. She has been known to exit the storm drain on occasion either to sunbathe, eat, or explore the surrounding area. Oddly enough she is not as feral as some of the other stray cats on campus and has allowed some students to get within a meter of her without fleeing, although she will almost always hiss at them. Daisy has never been observed fighting with Jack, suggesting that they have, at the very least, an amicable relationship.

Adoption Plan 4

As of Spring 2024, Daisy has not allowed any students to make physical contact with her, although the fact that she has been more tolerant of the presence of some students suggests that adoption may not be a lost cause. Currently, adoption remains infeasible until she can comfortably tolerate the presence of human beings.

Theories 4

Pregnancy:
Daisy, compared to most other cats on campus, has consistently maintained a somewhat bloated appearance. This combined with the fact that she is both female and not spayed has led some students to speculate that she may be expecting kittens. This theory is unlikely, though, as a professor, who adopted her sister, confirmed that her sibling has the same condition, suggesting that the bloated appearance may just be genetic.
