Patella caerulea, common name the rayed Mediterranean limpet is a species of sea snail, a true limpet, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Patellidae, one of the families of true limpets.

Distribution 3

P. caerulea is endemic to the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. 'P. coerulea' has recently been identified off the Cornish coast in the British Channel. Due to the rise of coastal temperatures, distribution is becoming more widespread.
