Macroptilium atropurpureum, commonly known as Purple Bush-Bean or Siratro, is a climber in the pea family (Fabaceae) native from Texas south to Peru and Brazil, and to the Caribbean, but widely naturalized in the tropics and subtropics, including Arizona, Florida, and Hawaii.
