Fleshy tubercle. Climbing plants with help of tendrils that end in the leaves. Leaves alternate to subopposite, sessile, broadly lanceolate to acuminate, 8-15 cm long to 12-22 mm large. Solitary flowers, green-yellow to red when mature. Stamen divaricate; filament subulate, 5 cm long. Ovary oblong; style 34-36 mm long.
