The cougar (Puma concolor), also known as the mountain lion, puma, mountain cat, or catamount, is a large cat, slender, wild cat. Its range, from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes of South America. This animal can be found in Iron County, Utah. They usually live in the desert area but can live forests as well. Males usually range in weight with an average of 140 pounds and females weight about 100 pounds. They are uniform in color and range from a grey to reddish brown (as seen in the photo above). Their young are spotted in color. YOu can tell them apart from other wild cats because of their size and slenderness of their body.
