Nastra lherminier is a year-round resident of the eastern United States (Scott 1986). Habitats are grassy, often moist, places. Host plants are grasses, especially Andropogon scoparius. There are two flights each year in the northern part of the range with approximate flight times June 15-late July and Aug. 15-early Sept., in the southern part of their range there are several flights between March 1-Oct. 31 (Scott 1986).
