The Arogos Skipper or Beard-grass Skipper (Atrytone arogos) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. It is found in isolated colonies in Georgia peninsular Florida, the Gulf Coast, south-east North Dakota and central Minnesota south to southern Texas and the Colorado front range. Strays are found up to western Virginia, northern Arkansas and Illinois.

Atrytone arogosis a year-round resident of the eastern seaboard of the United States from New York to Louisiana, and as a separate population in much of the central U.S. from Minnesota to Texas (Scott 1986). Habitats are Gulf Coast to Transition zone grassy places and prairie. Host plants are grasses mostly restricted to one genus, Andropogon. Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. Individuals overwinter as fourth instar larvae. There is a variable number of flights based on latitude, with one flight in the northern part of its range between July 10-July 31, two flights in the central part of its range between May 15-early June and Aug. 15-early Sept., and multiple flights in the most southern part of its range between March 1-Nov. 30 (Scott 1986).
