Amblyscirtes alternata (the Dusky Roadside Skipper or Blue-dusted Roadside Skipper) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. It is found from south-eastern Virginia south to Florida, west to east Texas.

Amblyscirtes alternata is resident to the southeastern United States (Scott 1986). Habitats are subtropical to lower austral zone open woods and grassy places. There are several flights between late April- Aug. 30 in the northeastern part of the range, and multiple flights between late Feb.1-Nov. 30 in the most southern part of their range (Scott 1986).
