The Fairy Yellow, Barred Yellow or Barred Sulphur (Eurema daira) is a butterfly of the Pieridae family. It is found from Argentina north to the southern United States. Strays can be found up to southern Arizona, South Dakota, southern Texas and even Washington D. C.

North american ecology (us and canada) 8

Residential in southeast North America with migratory portions of its range into the southwest (Scott 1986). Habitats are SUBTROPICAL OPEN OR BRUSHY AREAS. Host plants are usually herbaceous with most known hosts largely restricted to a few species in one family, LEGUMINOSAE. Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. There are multiple flights each year with the approximate flight time APR1-OCT31 in the northern part of the range and year round in the southern part of their range (Scott 1986).
