The Eastern Pine Elfin (Callophrys niphon) is a species of Lycaenidae that is native to North America.

Callophrys niphon is resident through most of the eastern United States, and across southern Canada to Alberta (Scott 1986). Habitats are gulf coast to Hudsonian zone coniferous forest. Host plants are trees limited mainly to family Pinaceae (genera Pinus and Picea) and probably also Juniperus virginiana of family Cupressaceae. Eggs are laid on the host plant singly. Individuals overwinter as pupae. There one flight each year with the approximate flight time May1-June15 in the northern part of the range and Mar1-Apr30 in the southern part of their range (Scott 1986).
