Distinguishing Characteristics
A small oval shell, solid. Apex is centrally placed and the shell is smooth or may have weak ribs. It is greyish white to light brown and has radiating dark lines and blotches.

Size
Can grow up to 12mm, Width 9mm, Height 6mm

Distribution
Found in throughout New Zealand in small pits, crevices or empty barnacle shells, or between mussels and oysters at mid to low tide
