The Sierran Treefrog is small, growing to 47mm (1.9in) at maturity. They are polymorphic in color with moist, smooth skin. Their faces are darkly masked; toes are long with large pads and intercalary cartilages.
Eggs are laid in small clusters, attached to vegetation in still water.
Sierran Treefrog tadpoles are stout in body with eyes set on the outer edges of the head.
