Melilotus officinalis, known commonly as sweet yellow clover, yellow melilot, ribbed melilot, and common melilot, is part of legume family native to Eurasia and was later introduced to North America, Africa, and Australia. It is an annual or bi-annually flowering plant and produces fruit in pods. When properly prepared, the plant can be used for livestock feed.
