In Playford, E. goniocalyx is found in the hills area to the west (rather than down on the plains). Spreading form, single-trunked or multi-stemmed tree to 10m. Bark grey to grey-brown with rough ‘box’ texture. Juvenile leaves round and blue. Buds are sessile (no stalk), in groups of 7 or more and caps are shorter than base. Fruit is cup-shaped with valves either slightly exserted or at rim level. Fruiting throughout the year.
